Date Night

The accordion pleated skirt was a trend amongst celebrities and fashion bloggers alike in 2016 but I admit, I’m not quite over it. For my go-to date night outfit, I paired this mustard accordion pleated skirt with a vintage overlapping tube top in a fun gingham pattern (Yes, I actually went out on a date…). The gingham pattern has been widely popular all summer, gracing the runway of Carolina Herrera, Revolve’s always aesthetically pleasing Instagram and likely the shopping carts of women everywhere.

For shoes? I wore simple black matte high-heel sandals. However, in a dream world I would pair this outfit with the Gucci Princeton Lace Slipper.

I used to be a huge fan of statement jewelry but as of lately, I’ve really gotten to know and love the daintier side of things. By keeping it simple with my jewelry, I feel inclined to mix more patterns and textures to my outfit, making the outfit then, my statement piece. I think this adds a bit of whimsy to your date-night regardless if it’s your first, second, third or twelfth (try not to count past your third…).

Plus, you can never go wrong with anything that slightly resembles a Spice Girl-type mantra, can you? #GirlPower
